Dioscuri are mythical sons of Zeus (Διὸς κοῦροι), named Castor and Pollux, created together with Helen from the egg of Leda, conjunctase with Zeus transformed into swan (in ancient Greek: Κάστωρ, -ορος, in Latin: Castōr, -ŏris) and Pollùce or Polideuce (in ancient Greek: Πολυδεύκης, -ους, in Latin: Pollūx, -ūcis).

They always performed their deeds together: Castor, tamer of horses, Pollux, valiant in boxing. Both were considered beneficial and saving deities. They were also protectors of sailors in storms. They are represented in the figurative arts as "heroic nudes".

The heroic nude or ideal nudity is a concept of classical art and culture that aims to describe the use of the naked human body above all, but not only, in Greek sculpture, where the apparently deadly human subject depicted in sculpture is actually a semi-divine being, a hero.

Dioscuri, by Giorgio De Chirico (1888 - 1970)

obviously my Dioscuri are, first of all, lovers!
