I love gay films. Sadly, they seem to promote the idea that we are all young, we are all privileged, we are all cosmetically beautiful and nearly identical, we all do 'things' and we are all white. Sorry to be that guy. But I don't find homogenization sexy, fun, relatable or acceptable. I think we, as a culture, need to ask more of ourselves. So, I'm not fond of gay cinema. We still haven't woke up to our own reality. As I've become more marginalized, I've come to embrace more and more of our variety and that's what I want to see in our art, our media, our politics... I want to see 'our' face. Kizzes.
